Birmingham canals

Isn’t it funny how you can take things that are right on your doorstep for granted regardless of how nice they are?! A friend had related to me how much he had enjoyed a canal walk that he and some others had been on the previous weekend. ‘Oh yes!… The canals!’ I thought. I had one of those moments where you remember that something exists. I hadn’t been around the Birmingham canals since I was a child. I decided to pay it a visit, and another, and another…. You get the point! Enjoy. ☺️

A nice view of the BT tower from the canal-side walkway close to Newtown.
The climate was just right for capturing this nice silky reflection of Birmingham central library as I was heading to Brindley Place.
No, this is not somewhere in Northumberland… Its Winson Green! πŸ˜‰
Another one shot in Winson Green. I like the hexagonal effect from the reflection of the bridge.
Caught this man and his dog passing by just at the right time.
This was taken from the top of cuckoo bridge in Nechells.
I liked the colour of the sky in this sunset along with the reflection of of the windows on the building to the right.
My favourite of the bunch is this sunset underneath cuckoo bridge. I love the colours and reflections.

    1. Thanks Adam. It’s only through photography that I’ve got to know the area a bit more. We take so much for granted. Just followed you. Looking forward to seeing some post when I get back home! πŸ‘
